But the question of whether or not paladins work with mages has to wait for a bite of potato to be enjoyed before it's answered.
"Paladins can't usually do the same magic as mages?" he says, though he's uncertain about it. "I don't think, anyway... I've never met a real paladin, except for the one who saved us? And the only mage I ever knew was the one who went around Westfall conjuring ice and cinnamon rolls if you gave him a place to stay."
Anna quickly interrupts to add, smiling, "We know two having dinner with us."
Matt nods eagerly. "And now you two. But anyway I don't see why the Knights of the Silver Hand wouldn't work with the Kirin Tor? And I know that there are mages and paladins in the Stormwind Army who work together. Do paladins on your world work with mages?"
Actually, this raises a good question. Tamminy pipes up before the Durants can answer, "Harrowheart," because she's going to continue to use his real name, "Says that on your planet, mages live in seclusion apart from society. Which got me wondering... What's the... Excuse my wording, 'point' of being a mage where you come from? Why pursue magic without it having an application to society?"
