Naugus acknowledges the greetings and waves with a distracted grunt and upward jerk of his chin. "Is there an occasion or holiday I'm unaware of or..." He asks even as he's bending his knees to pick up a third chao and maneuvering it into his arms. This one isn't nearly as delighted with being held, a grumpy expression crossing the little blue critter's face as he goes limp.
The offering of food draws the wizard's attention once more, looking at it with a thoughtful frown. "Ah. I see. Thank you." Arms full of chao and staff, Naugus frowns even more when he considers his options...and soon nudges a summoned gust of wind to lift the bowl from Kenny's hands and hover it just behind his right shoulder. The slip of paper is left fluttering by itself, where Naugus snatches it with the fingers of the hand holding his staff. Thumb pushes it open and he beholds the stunning crayon-and-pencil rendering of himself firing lightning bolts into a stone mountain, causing the whole thing to crack from top to bottom. He studies it, then turns to look down at the girl again, unsmiling.
