Love is an awkward enough topic without speculating on your friend's love life, but Lawrence does seem entirely earnest in his questions and concern. It doesn't make it any more comfortable as the older man shares his experiences of his brother that feel so private. Viatorus finds himself trying not to squirm as he feels more and more rude for listening to all of this. He finds himself desperately wishing Isidor was here instead of him.
